Re: [Patch] Rendering of FreeBasic graphic on OpenGL

While I was applying the suggested changes, I fixed the bug that occurs when the width is not a multiple of 4; looks like the screen buffer has no alignment, and OpenGL expected a multiple of 4. It can be fixed with glPixelStorei(GL_UNPACK_ALIGNMENT, 1), and I added it (I had to add it to the decla...

Re: [Patch] Rendering of FreeBasic graphic on OpenGL

Okay. I can easily make most of those changes. The one for the module level vars and the __fb_gl context: I could make them static, OR add them to the context, but I did not write the code so I am not sure which would be best. @angros47: Here is the review comment. Can you provide some guidance?

How do I find those comments? I am still kinda new to github and had no luck googling it.

Re: how to read a table from a Sqlite database

If you look in the examples/database folder that comes with the compiler, there are a couple of sqlite examples. I have used them as a starting point in the past and they work quite well.

Re: Pure FB Runtime Library (in progress)

The only difference will be in how FBC is compiled. It will require less GCC to compile. It will still be required for the fbgfx, but the rtlib will be compiled in FB itself. OTHER NOTE: return memcpy(wcstr, mbstr, count), count; What the hell is that?! C does not allow multiple return values does it?

Re: Pure FB Runtime Library (in progress)

This bit is using inline asm. I have never used that part of FB, and while I am sure I could figure it out over time, it would be quicker if someone more familiar could take a look at it. /' CPU-dependent macros and inline functions *'/ #ifdef HOST_X86 static __inline__ int FB_MEMCMP( const void *p1...

Re: Pure FB Runtime Library (in progress)

Do we have provisioning yet for including bas files when compiling the rtlib? I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard, but feels like an important first step. My goal is to make it a standalone lib at first, so I can test it alongside the current to make sure everything works as it did before....

Re: Pure FB Runtime Library (in progress)

Not yet. I will make a github repo once Ihave something usable. Right now It is mostly just grunt work of converting all the ground work so other things can work.

Re: [Patch] Rendering of FreeBasic graphic on OpenGL

As soon as I get back to my machine, I will submit a pull request for this to be included in freeBASIC.

Re: [Patch] Rendering of FreeBasic graphic on OpenGL

Okay, so I have a question:

Should this have defines or enums for the two OpenGL 2D mode options? As it stands it is the only screencontrol command with parameters whose meaning is not immediately obvious.

I don't feel like leaving them as 1 and 2 is very intuitive.

Re: Pure FB Runtime Library (in progress)

I have already run in to a bit of a conundrum...

When did Solaris support get added to the RTLib, and why is there no __FB_SOLARIS__ define?

Pure FB Runtime Library (in progress)

So for those who missed it here I am going to attempt to convert the freeBASIC rtlib to FB. I am going to post my progress and questions here, so if anyone is interested or wants to help in any way, this is the place to do it. I plan to make this a stand alone library first. Make small pieces and te...
