Re: Simple WinAPI GUI library

He, I found the source of the GDI memory leak. The root-cause was not in destroying the controls but setting their fonts. The function: control_setfont........ creates a font object locally but does not destroy it! I have split the function into 3 sub / functions that 1 create a font object, 2 assig...

Re: Simple WinAPI GUI library

Hi, I have a question about deleting controls. I have (like in many of the examples given) a global HWND variable to a control. When I click on a button I call a sub (see the code below) to delete the control and after this I re-paint the window and this effectively removes the control. Then I assig...

Re: Excel helper wrapper

Hi, I'm having problems when switching sheets. Both values in the test code below end up in the last selected sheet. The sheet switching works (visually) however the values are written last so they end up in the last sheet. does somebody have a solution for this peculiar problem? Thanks, Pim screen ...

Re: Simple WinAPI GUI library

Hey, First of I would like thank the creator for this nice library. Later when using the library I realized that it would be nice if we could also put freebasic image buffers onto a window. I already compiled a subroutine of code (from various code snippets from the forum) that gets the job done, ho...

Connecting to a Oracle database directly from FreeBasic

Hello, I have a project where I need to connect to a Oracle database to perform basic SQL queries on it. I did find a C library called OCIlib and I'm trying to write a static lib in C (using OCIlib) to connect FreeBasic to the oracle database. However I am not having much luck building this (ugly ha...

Max pre-initialized array size?

Small question, what is the maximum number of elements that can be pre-initialized in a shared array? I get a compile fbc.exe crash after a certain number of elements. For example: dim shared data_1(0 to 213155) as ubyte = {_ &h3a,&h50,&h00,&h01,&h22,&h56,&h00,&h00,&a...

Select Case Optimization Maybe?

He, I wanted to check with all of you on the forum if I found a chance for optimization of the compiler. I spotted that whenever I do a "select case" on a var it also compiles with a "jump if less" statement. however if it was less than it would have been "true" in one ...

Re: The new look forum

I usually have some time off in the weekends, So I offer to help in any way I can. I could help with the documentation (writing new topics / editing existing ones) for example or test new compiler versions / features. And if there is a need, I could start translating the entire documentation to Dutc...

Re: Progression of my platform game called "Slimo"

As you requested. A Playable demo of the game containing only level 1. After completing the level you will be brought back to the transporter room where you started. The mission of the game is to find ship parts scattered across levels and to disable the power grid surrounding each level by flipping...

Re: Super flashy Happy New-Year in only 40kb

It's a lib i made with inspiration from the GDI version of tinyPTC. I included a link to a .zip file containing the fixed 320x200 version of the lib and a 100% flexible one. I also included the source and project files of those libs. The flexible version allows for opening a screen with any odd dime...

Re: Animated Birds

Very nice,

This look and feel is so cartoonish that it would be cool if you would make a whole animated comic book this way.
