Suspicious logic operation, mixed boolean and non-boolean

Code: Select all

if any_integer = 4 or any_integer = 5 or key_left = true or key_right = true then

Will not compile: Suspicious logic operation, mixed boolean and non-boolean

What is the best solution here? A one-liner would be good.

Re: Alpha channel PNGs under DOS?

Ah right, FBImage, forgot all about it. Thank you! Works nicely for now.
Doubt though it will run under dos. Only comes with static Linux and Win libs, 32/64-bit.

Alpha channel PNGs under DOS?

Is there a library that allows loading and drawing of alpha channel PNGs under FB for DOS?
Rotating and scaling would be awesome too.

ttf examples on 64-bit systems?

Are there any new true type font examples for writing whole words/strings? FreeType2 or Cairo, either would work for me. In the past I used "FreeType2 library test, by jofers" but this one seems to be broken now. Fonts don't draw properly and I even get malloc errors. examples/graphics/Fre...

Re: Why has lib___.dll.a been removed after version 0.24.0?

I tried boat. I compiled against the DLL file without any .a file (I moved the .a to another folder). After that the DLL file is not required anymore to run the program. Then I compiled against the .a file without the DLL file (I moved the DLL to another folder). That worked as well. The final .exe'...

Why has lib___.dll.a been removed after version 0.24.0?

Why has libcairo.dll.a (or libz.dll.a and others) been removed after version 0.24.0 ? I can still load cairo.bi and use it. But I have to get a DLL. And I can find a libcairo.dll no problem, but I cannot find the DLL for version 1.14.2 (as mentioned in the cairo.bi). I mean is it right of me to want...

Re: Compiling error "cannot find -..."

I tried using the old precompiled libz.a file and I got the following error: C:\PROGRA~1\FREEBA~1\bin\win64\ld.exe: skipping incompatible C:\Program Files\FreeBasic\lib\win64/libz.a when searching for -lz C:\PROGRA~1\FREEBA~1\bin\win64\ld.exe: skipping incompatible C:\Program Files\FreeBasic\lib\win...

Compiling error "cannot find -..."

I'm having trouble compiling without ld telling me: "cannot find -...". For example "cannot find -lz". I get the same error with cairo and freetype2. I'm compiling a program that worked with version 0.21.1. I know there have been made many changes with the latest version so I'm e...

IDE for Android?

I installed FB on TurboDOSBox on my Android-Smartphone :) works really nice! Currently I'm using the native Android text-editor in Cyanogenmod to edit my .bas files, then I compile it in DOSBox on my phone, works really nice. It would be more convenient to have a real IDE, or at least something that...
