nope, sorry they just look red and blue lol. that's the only crappy thing about 3D glasses. you can really see the depth effect nicely on a well made pic though it's like being there..... except it's red and blue. the software (and all RB 3D glasses images) works by basically converting your source ...

unfortunately that won't generate any 3D effect. the basis behind it is that one image is captured from a slightly different angle, just like your real left and right eyes do. looking at yours with 3D glasses just shows a flat image. Ahhh... Thanks for the feedback - I have another idea based on it...

very interesting project. i've programmed an IRC server in DOS with QuickBASIC 4.5 in the past. (also a win32 version with VB6) i take it yours is not a server, just a client with extensions? i don't see how a totally new server would be needed for a project like this. just clients that understand w...

stereo 3D image generator (for red/blue glasses)

just a simple little program i wrote. it seems to work pretty well, here is a sample image generated with it. (note: you need red/blue 3D glasses to see if correctly, of course) http://rubbermallet.org/room_3d.jpg here's a download link to the freebasic source and it includes a pre-compiled win32 bi...

porting IRC client written in QB45 to FB.

hi, what i'm trying to do is modify my QB45 code for an IRC client i've been working on to work under freebasic so i can use it natively in win32. it has drop-down menus, and supports DCC file receive and mIRC color/bold decoding. i originally wrote it so i could make some use of some old 8088 and 2...

You can use real-mode interrupts via the DPMI Call Real-Mode Interrupt service, which DJGPP wraps (see the __dpmi_int documentation). For example, the equivalent of 'mov ax, 13h; int 10h' is #include "dos/dpmi.bi" dim regs as __dpmi_regs regs.x.ax = &H13 __dpmi_int(&H10, @regs...

INTERRUPT calls... wtf?

we can no longer CALL INTERRUPT in FB? i was working in an IRC client in QB45, i wanted to switch to FB but i guess i can't? i already wrote all the TCPDRV interrupt call routines and everything. it works flawlessly but QB is too slow if i want to run it on a really old machine.

dangit... i was going to program an IRC client from scratch. now i would feel like i'm wasting my time since you already wrote a client library lol.

nice job, though!

i actually just recently developed a full set of routines for TCP/IP in DOS. my code interfaces with wattcp. it was made in and designed for quickbasic 4.5, but it should work fine in freebasic. it requires the CALL INTERRUPT function to work, but i have been told there's a freebasic library that al...
