Re: Bug fix for debugging lines inside include files

Hi coderjeff, The issue with bincl and eincl is that even debug data is not duplicated the linker removed it just because it's based on the file name (include files) not on the data itself. Test with the test files I have provided or look at the small example below. As some lines from include files ...

@St_W thanks for your reply. By the way I forgot a word in a previous post : "I did my best but I can not do miracles. Not the same meaning.... Some complements : - In every case fbdebugger extracts the data from the exe, directly if stabs or via objdump if dwarf (directly would be too complica...

Hi coderjeff, I forgot to thank you for the integration in the repo.... :-) As promised the complement for the fix. 4 bas files for testing in one of my previous posts. NB : To be tested under linux. Re: Bug fix for debugging lines inside include files

I'm sorry but the (mine) fix is not completly ok for stabs : - there are too many "end of include" tag (those for main file) - also need some changes about file names as win and dos are set in uppercase but not everywhere.... - with some stabs tags the linker removes data if it has already...

Re: FB debugger : 2.93 32/64 BIT ..... (Sept 5th, 2018)

@MrSwiss No problem, sorry not to explain clearly ;-) When FBC generates the C code there are some cases where this code is very far/different from the freebasic code. So it could be impossible to connect the 2. Furthermore arrays are zero based. And other things. I did my best but I can do miracles...

Re: FB debugger : 2.93 32/64 BIT ..... (Sept 5th, 2018)

Hi Luis, If I make a program that use ULongInt variables, I need the 64 bit Debugger to debug it or I have another way to debug it? No problem with ulongint when using 32bit debugger. The 32bit version is used to debug 32bit compiled exes and the 64bit one for 64bit compiled exes. In both cases 64bi...

Re: FB debugger : 2.93 32/64 BIT ..... (Sept 5th, 2018)

Minor issue - that link in your reply above works ok, but the page 1 link says no file page1: http://users.freebasic-portal.de/sarg/fbdebugger293.zip - perhaps case sensitive ? My bad, copy and paste..... Fixed. Thanks By way the debugger 64bit version is not safe (same 32bit with gcc) : simple pro...

Hi jmg,

Thanks for reporting this issue. It's fixed.

I take advantage of the fix for releasing a more important update. See first post.

Re: Bug fix for debugging lines inside include files

Hi all, I did it :-) Some comments : - Without fix for issue #851 it was not possible. - About macro the line numbers/file names are the one where the macro is used - the right name files are emitted for gcc and llvm backends. - I did tests (see below the patch the 4 files used) but I don't know if ...

Re: beginner's questions

Hi ITomi, I have 2 questions to skilled FB programmers: 1. How can I hide the mouse cursor without deactivating it? The SetMouse is not good for me, because it although hide, but deactivate the mouse. Or is there a possibility to change the mouse cursor to other sprite? The mouse is not desactivated...

Re: Issue with 64bit addresses beyond 2Go

To be complete : there are also dynamic static arrays, they are not shared but the descriptor is not on the stack.

Just to have the last word ;-)

Code: Select all

Sub testsub
   Static As Integer testme()
   ReDim testme(8000000)
End Sub

Stupid, I forgot dynamic arrays using the redim instruction...... Obviously working fine also with shared. Thanks again. Re: Bug fix for debugging lines inside include files

@coderJeff Many thanks for your comments, suggestions and advices. My first code was more close from what you adviced but with a lot of modified lines I was afraid that nobody wants to do something.... So I have used the more simpliest way. I'll try to follow what you suggest. Some points no problem...
