Can FBDebugger debug more than just FreeBASIC-compiled binaries with debugging symbols? FBdebugger uses STABS data and it's very close with Freebasic data structures (string by example) so I suppose that with other compilers you'll get some troubles. But try and tell me. How complete is it's STABS ...

Looking at the generated code, there is a jump skiping the loop just after the iterator initialization. In case of byte, uinteger datatype no jump. ##for i as ubyte = 3 to 1 step -1 .Lt_0004: mov byte ptr [ebp-12], 3 jmp .Lt_0007 <------------------------------------ JUMP .Lt_0008: .Lt_0009: .stabn ...

Bug ? in for next loop

It is a bug with for/next loop using unsigned iterator and negative increment ? I can't figure why the first two loops are not executed as the two last.... For i As UByte =3 To 1 Step -1 Print "UByte",i Next For i As Ushort =3 To 1 Step -1 Print "Ushort",i Next For i As UInteger ...

@AGS really no problem about yours comments :-) but you're right you must try it before. I suppose that there are still a lot of bugs or improvements and that you can help me. @Galeon Instructions : - create a folder and copy inside fbdebuggernew.exe, fbdebugger.ini and fbdebug_user.txt - start fbde...

First of all thanks for yours congratulations it's encouraging :-) Feature request. Display data in an easier to view way. Memory dump gives a matrix filled with values. This no doubt shows the content of the variable but a string is something like this "this is a string" and if it gets long scrolli...

Try with fbdebugger if you're on Windows or post part of code with the problem and I'll check myself.

With fbdebugger you can easily watch value of the variables including (udt and array) or directly memory if needed.

It will be a proof of its utility.

@couting_pine Just have a look : http://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=117584#117584 A quick explain : when you use redim with shared there's no description informations (user variable name, dim and bounds) put in stabs. My workaround uses the FBSYMBOL back link to retrieve the original nam...

@Counting_pine Ok it's fixed. I'll download latest version next time ;-) By the way I posted a request for change in the stabs emitter for redim shared. What's about ? The same problem (not enough stabs information) is happened with common but my solution isn't useable @rolliebollocks I don't use th...
