Re: Installing FreeBasic with Scoop on Windows

Regarding WinFBE_Suite, I keep getting File not found, "Afx/CWindow.inc" when I try the examples. Hi dodicat, I expect that maybe you switched the compiler location to a different one than WinFBE installs? (check Options / Environment Options / Compiler Setup). You simply need to re-point...

Re: Installing FreeBasic with Scoop on Windows

The WinFBE-master.zip file is essentially the source code for the editor and nothing more. On the project's GitHub releases page you'll find the editor source code download along with the WinFBE_Suite.rar package. https://github.com/PaulSquires/WinFBE/releases (having said that, I even include the W...

Re: SystemTimeToFileTime

I may also add a few procedures like PowerBASIC's Powertime object. Jose already has all that done for you. Check out: #include once "Afx\CPowerTime.inc ' ######################################################################################## ' Microsoft Windows ' File: CPowerTime.inc ' Conte...

Re: SystemTimeToFileTime

Hi David, no problem, just to complete my thoughts on the subject here is the actual code from AfxTime.inc that is called: ' ======================================================================================== ' Returns the current system time as a FILETIME structure. ' =========================...

Re: SystemTimeToFileTime

You can make it even easier on yourself by using Jose's Afx library, specifically, the AfxTime.inc and/or CTime64.inc class and/or CFileTime.inc class.

Thanks Imortis - I know exactly how you feel. My job also prevents me from devoting long stretches of time to my projects.

Re: FreeBASIC IDEs/Editors

Hi - just a (very small) correction to the WinFBE description.
It requires Windows Vista or later operating system (not Windows 7 or later). Granted, I doubt that many people use Vista anymore.
...and it is all open source and available on GitHub.

Re: When to use a semicolon in FreeBasic?

It suppresses the linefeed to the next line as the data is displayed in the console window. The next Print statement will print its data to the immediate right of the most recent displayed data.

Re: SetCompilerSwitchesII&SetCompilerPathsII Help file

I could add a 4th option: - Invoke immediately after WinFBE starts That made me laugh because I looked at the existing three options and thought how handy it would be to invoke after WinFBE starts. However, since you had made two changes to WinFBE, the second one making the first redundant, I figur...

Re: SetCompilerSwitchesII&SetCompilerPathsII Help file

Hi David, after reading your Help file (I still haven't yet wrapped my head around the whole Arch stuff LOL), I wonder if you think that the following may be useful: For WinFBE User Tools, we have the following 3 options: - Invoke only when selected by user - Invoke during pre-compile - Invoke durin...

Re: SetCompilerSwitchesII&SetCompilerPathsII Help file

Thanks David - I'll also mention here (before you get a deluge of support requests) to remember that when you download a chm help file from the internet that you need to "unblock" it first, otherwise you won't be able to see the individual help pages within the chm file. Right click the ch...
