Here are some sites to search:

http://www.3dengines.net/

and if you have $$
http://v3x.net/v3x/faqs.html

I would definately stick with either DirectX or OPENGL compatible code. It is HARDWARE acceleration that makes 3D fast, not just coding.

Return (stack) in DLL

I got a DLL that works with RapidQ SUB calls, which passes arrays. That seems to work fine, but I noticed that if I call a FUNCTION, I don't get the return value, or it crashes (don't know which yet). The problem occurs whether I define CDECL, STDCALL, or PASCAL. I just wanted to confirm with you gu...

DLL error in PRINT

Yes, I confirm this bug in FB 014, as PRINT in my DLL code doesn't work, even if I print 25 times.

FB 0.13 will run the code fine so it must be in the 0.14 release

Thanks for the input guys I will give that a try. I expected no standards in arrays between compilers, but this looks like a simple work around. Actually, RapidQ will pass the array by reference, so the fix might be even simpler. Sub Convolve (filtcoef As Single PTR , Inx As Single PTR, Outy As Sing...

A bit off topic OOP and 3D engine

It looks like you are attempting a retained mode 3D API. Is this a real project? I know you want LINUX, but of course you know of D3DRM in Direct3D. So are you making a retained mode 3D for OpenGL? D3DRM is pretty good. Might I suggest looking into what RapidQ can do with its byte code interpreter: ...

Arrays in DLL called by another program

Sorry if this has been addressed. I am a RapidQ programmer and I love FreeBasic! I let RQ do all the GUI and I let FreeB handle all the looping and heavy computations -- works great. But I have an application to do convolution on a BITMAP and arrays. I would like to pass an array (either SINGLE or I...

API already defined

Maybe I am plain dumb here but aren't the API calls in mmsystem.bi?

ie. using mciSendString
