Re: OpenCL (Open Coumputer Language) for FreeBASIC .

For Test(01) I get ~360 fps

I know it is not comparable, but the same effect with shadertoy offline was about 2800 fps 8-(
Maybe you are thinking that
FB exports c code
C code is then used for kernels
then FB is now a high performance parallel programming language

Re: OpenCL (Open Coumputer Language) for FreeBASIC .

I do have it in this beautiful folder name C:\Windows\WinSxS\wow64_microsoft-windows-r..xwddmdriver-wow64-c_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.10586.0_none_3dae054b56911c22 Just for *fun* I copied all dll files to the local directory of the fb OpenCL source, now I get C:\FreeBASIC-1.05.0-win64\bin\win64\ld.exe: ...

Re: OpenCL (Open Coumputer Language) for FreeBASIC .

I copy cl.bi to FreeBASIC\inc folder
then copy lib/win64/libOpenCL.dll.a to FreeBASIC\lib\win64 folder
compile error
...\bin\win64\ld.exe: cannot find -lOpenCL

Do I need to find the static lib? or DLL? Can't find this at

Re: Code editor project management functionality?

I always use project management now. I think the selection of editors is very good for FB (FBEdit, Firefly, Geany, but I wrote and use FreeQ IDEa). Good project management means vastly different things to other people -- and this is why I stopped developing FreeQ for public use. But to me what is im...

Re: New website

I like it-- fonts etc. My only issue is code line wrapping in the code boxes (Mobile viewing), but I have no idea how to fix that.

Re: Using Shadertoy.com shaders offline.

That is freaking awesome. I don't know how you do it, so I must examine all code.
P.S. Mountains.glsl looks more like French Alps/Switzerland than Germany.

Having problems with SourceForge [fixed]

I have tried about 10 times to download the Win64 bit version of fbc. Doesn't matter if I try the direct link or not. Everytime I get about 30 - 60% of the zip file then the progress of the download stops. After about 5 mins, Chrome reports the zip file is invalid. I tried MS Edge - it starts the do...

Re: [offtopic] Any organ player here ?

Analog can have such a sweeter tone than digital. Just have to remember ALL THOSE SETTINGS. Here in the US there is a some who move back to retro analog keys and analog guitar pedals.

My guess ...Think light source not camera speed. There are super fast laser pulses, you have to carefully set time offsets relative to camera sample and then average a whole lot... ambient lighting must be a real issue

Re: Scintilla Lexer for FreeBASIC?

I thought scintilla already supported fb. I couldn't get it to work fully though. A starting point could be FreeQ IDEa. An open source proj in rapidq (looks alot like qbasic meets vb meets java) , so should be readable http://rapidq.phatcode.net/FreeQ/ And scintilla includes here http://rapidq.phatc...

Re: Wetspot compiled to javascript

Whoa, this is different. Works on under Google Chrome on my Windows 10 x64, runs too fast to manipulate the character accurately but it runs. I am interested in conversion to JavaScript -- not that I like JS or mobile, just that it is where the bleeping public mindset is heading and Windows desktop ...
