Re: structure in same structure

Perhaps:

Code: Select all

type redisReply
   dim as long type_
   dim a longint integer_
   dim as size_t len_
   dim as zstring ptr pStr
   dim as size_t elements
   dim as redisReply ptr ptr ppElement
end type

Re: (solved) FBGfx strange speed differences Win7/Win8

I'm just wondering if these 2 functions are really multitasking safe.

For each PC, reboot and test your code without accessing the Internet before.
(otherwise I have a doubt about the actual duration of each 'Sleep (1, 1)')

Re: Compile Errors from "var shared ...."

Remark about the above topic Although "simple" global (shared) variables such as integers or doubles currently only allow constant initializers, FreeBASIC supports non-constant initializers in the case where the global (shared) variable is a type defined by the user with constructor: the ...

Re: Compile Errors from "var shared ...."

Happy that you progress.

Perhaps:
- In the main code:
Dim Shared As NetworkClient Ptr pclient
Dim Shared As NetworkConnection Ptr pconnection

- In the Sub:
pclient = New NetworkClient(ServerIP,ServerPort)
pconnection = pclient->GetConnection()

Re: Compile Errors from "var shared ...."

Perhaps by using a shared pointer:
- In the main code:
Dim Shared As NetworkClient Ptr pclient
- In the Sub:
pclient = New NetworkClient(ServerIP,ServerPort)

(then 'pclient->x' to access the field 'x')

Re: Compile Errors from "var shared ...."

IMHO, when you use 'Shared' , you must separate declaration and initialization because the expression on the right is neither constant nor evaluable before the program starts. You can not do it with 'Var' . Try with 'Dim' (2 separate lines): Dim Shared As Typeof(NetworkCl...

Re: problem with namespace

hello fxm yes, your approach works for the example given, however it won't work if you decide to add += and similar Like that, it works: #Inclib "complex-lib" #define usenamespace 1 '' to test namespace #if usenamespace namespace complex_math #endif Type complex As Double re, im Declare C...
