I think you need to include the vbcompat.bi

Could be wrong, though.

Wow. That makes a big difference. I did not know that. I'm sure that was my problem. Thanks for the speedy reply. I will try that shortly. I have absolutly no knowlege of the windows API, other than a few small things I pick up on this forum, so it never accured to me that I had to do anything in a ...

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but the wwGetCharWid and wwGetCharHei commands don't seem to work in Windows 2000. I haven't tried them in XP or 98 yet, but in 2000 they return 0 no matter what.

I just started putting this to acctual use today, and I have to say I love it. It makes interaction with the WinAPI a snap.

I am curious though, passerby, how far do you plan to go with this? Do you plan to make a full wrapper or just keep it simple like it is now?

I can't believe I haven't posted on this topic before. I thought I did, but upon further inspection it seems I was mistaken. So if I had posted befor this is what I would have said: I think this is a great idea. I love the way it is written and I can't wait for it to get finished. I gave a copy of i...

I have the proper bit depth for the file. That was the first thing I checked. I'm not sure why I would need voodooattack's example. Why would chr(27)[escape key, right?] be needed?

Yeah. I renamed the file to something with no spaces and it worked fine. With spaces the program would run and it would act right except for the fact that nothing would be loaded to the screen or buffer (depending on where I was trying to load it at the time), but take out the space and it works jus...

No. I had done like this.

Code: Select all

Bload "Bitmap Image.bmp",0

The file was in the same folder as the sourcecode, so that should have worked, right?

That's helped me figure out the shooting problem and uncovered a flaw in my movement that was causing the second probem. I can handle it from here. Thanks a bunch.
