Re: Unable to access fb.net forums
Out of curiosity, I checked, and it looks like there is a known exploit in PHPBB and the memberlist.php page. I wonder if that is why that page was getting hammered?

Re: IO Game Development
Hi, I am working as a unity 3d game developer. I notice that IO games are recently going very popular on web. I am trying to build a game something like this . Can anyone guide me where to get the tutorial to develop such type of games? Thanks I am afraid we don't have any tutorials on Unity. This ...

This is because, as others have told you, what you are attempting is mathematically impossible. You can't make a compression algorithm that can be run on the ...

Re: Pure FB Runtime Library (in progress)
Just checking in to let people know I am back at this again finally. I am pulling the newest changes to the RTLIB in as well. I will be re-doing a lot, maybe all, of the string functions as I messed something up in the initial conversion and I have no idea what it was. This has been a fantastic lear...

Re: Fastest PRNG around, the XORSHIFT
Can't do that. Xorshift32() and xorshift64() are optimized for their own bit depth. The original author did not choose the shift parameters for no reason. FB's Integer and UInteger types fit the size of the native type of the processor. So on 32bit they are 32bit but on 64bit, they are 64bit. If yo...

Re: Audio library for FreeBasic - Features
Ok, after a long time, I finally managed to have a prototype of what I had in mind: https://sourceforge.net/projects/freebasic-sfx-library/files/ WAV and midi files are supported, they can be read and written, and the library provides some primitives to modify them, or to create new ones from scrat...

Re: Using "PRINT #" and "INPUT ()" on binary files
OK, you seem to be someone, that wants: "to go through a wall, head first". Print #, and Input() are meant for NONE "binary" file I/O (all else is pure speculation). You're probably likely, to end up with the face in the mud ... Please keep these kinds of comments to a minimum. ...

I'll keep it to just posting code.... and asking for programming help...I'll keep everything on topic...
See that you do please. That's two times I have had to edit a post. On three I will be recommending a temporary ban. Please don't make me do that.

@Imortis, seriously??? ...snip... What did take you so long, before eventually stepping in to those "below the waist- level", stupid, annoying rhymes. I wouldn't have waited half the time (month's). I was conferring with the other admins. I wanted to make sure we were on the same page. I ...
Re: Squares
You don't need that many elements. 12 elements for the hour 6 elements for the 10s place 9 elements for the 1s place 1 element for 00 on the minutes. 28 elements should be all that is needed. @albert: As to prudish, we want to make sure the forums are suitable for all ages. I would be glad to help o...

I played with the Demo and was quite impressed. I purchased a copy and have been playing around with it this weekend. So far so good.

Re: No OOP?
FreeBASIC's OOP (Object Oriented Programming) features are completely optional. You don't have to use them if you don't want to.
