Writing a game is for programmers not the big deal often
but creating all the "good looking" content is sometimes a pain.

I self can't draw animated sprites like humans or animals
so I must create 3D stuff (buildings, robots, tanks, cars, planes, trains ...)

Today good games are almost always made by a group. In the beginning there were some single programmers like Ed Hobbs who created "The Castles of Dr. Creep":

When reading "Single Developer Games" I remembered immediately Tobyfox and Undertale :P (I will play Deltarune soon)
But in fact, there are currently several independent developers making great games, The last one I played was Iconoclast, it's really impressive that it's developed by one person.
