Hey v1ctor, would you be so kind to close the poll on 26th, any time if day. I would like to count the votes after Tuesday.
Everyone else, make sure you cast your vote before that, if you haven't already.

Sure, poll reopened until feb 26.
Everybody: please, vote! It doesn't take that long to evaluate the games.

Hello everyone. I collected all the votes and added my scores, and I have the winners. It's just rather late here and I'm tired, so I'll compile a post with results and my comments tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

An excellent work. Congratulations. As for the others. Making a full game is not that simple, as far as I can judge myself by trying so the folks that made it here really desserved their price.Lachie Dazdarian wrote:The final results:

Congratulations to all participants!
And pitto: if that's character is supposed to be me, I would never be able to jump that far, heh. And... screw you, Dijkstra!

Hi Lachie,
Thank you again for organizing this competition and for reviewing the various games with competence and objectivity. I read your reviews in the other forum, they are very accurate, detailed and written with competence. And they explain thoroughly the motivations of the various scores. Really a great job. It must not have been an easy task.
Congratulations to all contenders, and a heartfelt thanks also to those who financed the money prize.
I confirm that I have received the prize.
Thanks to the entire Freebasic community, thanks to those who continue to develop the compiler.
I'm just a dwarf (maybe a dwarf graphic designer) who built on the shoulders of the giants of programming.
Thank you
@ v1ctor
Thanks for the Freebasic language. However, I've learned thanks to this programming Language that with a little bit of training we can all jump a little higher :)

Congratulations to all! ;-)maachal wrote:I came across this thread about a week ago.
I have never programmed games, but I tried it. ;-)
There is no time for fun so it was quickly programmed. My dream is to be at least the last one. :-D

The most important is not the final result obtained, but rather all the paths taken to get there.

That's beautifully said, fxm. You are more wiser than I am.fxm wrote:The most important is not the final result obtained, but rather all the paths taken to get there.

It was in a similar spirit that I initiated the topic: "FreeBASIC syntax challenge games":

I don't mind having a try now and then, although I am not very good.
But failing miserably is no problem for me.
The most important is not the solution in itself, but especially all the paths taken to try to get there.
