It appears to be a FreeBASIC interpreter for android. With in-app purchases and ads...

The reference section has code that is not FB code, and the Tutorial link just brings you to the FB wiki.

I have no idea how much of FB is actually implemented here.

filling google's coffers is nearly the last item on my todo list. Downloaded last night and found the editor to be unresponsive. Nice font colors though

Yes, fbgfx would be missing. One of the reviews also mentions that. If you want to create more than just commandline android programs, you need a lot more.

Writing code on a smartphone must be a nightmare. I suppose a tablet may be doable but unpleasant.

If you don't want to use this app, you could instead grab a terminal emulator, a text editor, and fbc for android. I've never compiled fbc itself for android but don't expect significant problems doing so.
