How to enable Console Scrollbar?

Postby WN2A » Apr 22, 2019 19:43

This is a very beginner problem that has eluded me.

I am using FreeBasic normally for text in console (urxvt). This is the code at top of the program:

screen 19
cls
(rest of program follows)

The console opens up , programs run fine, but I don't know how to enable the vertical scrollbar.
Thank You in Advance!

screen 19 is not a console window but a graphical window.

Try:

Code: Select all

screen 0
for i as integer = 0 to 99
   print i
next
sleep

If still no scrollbar, check your terminal settings (e.g. number of scrollback lines).

badidea,
Thanks for the help. Yes screen 0 does give me the vertical scrollbar just as you said. But for some reason, the text screen only comes up after manually bringing up the urxvt console, typing in
. \ (my program) in the same directory. Before, it could run by just clicking on the program in the file manager ( Rox-filer in Linux). So , it looks like I need to understand the screen modes better. If you know where I can find more information, I would appreciate it.
Thank You, WN2A
