Introduction and noob question

I'm new here and wanted to say Hi.

I've been playing with Freebasic for a little while now and it's a fantastic tool. Thanks to the developers and testers!

Anyway, I have a really noobish question. I've been looking at other's source code and noticed an include statement that I didn't understand:

#include once "crt.bi"


What does crt.bi provide? I noticed a couple of commands like "memcmp" in the code that I couldn't find documentation for in the Freebasic help CHM.

"crt" stands for "c runtime", which is a set of cross-platform functions provided with most C compilers. FB heavily depends on these functions, so the functions are already inside your program.

You can find a good list of functions inside crt.bi with any C tutorial:
