Re: new complete FB version ?
Scotland have just beaten England at cricket in Edinburgh.
Just thought that I'd mention it before dodicat does. <Gulp>

What has this "BIO Sleeping Pill" (cricket) to do, with this thread?

MrSwiss, you are absolutely right to question my interjection and I wish to offer my sincerest apologies to fellow members.
That aside - BIO Sleeping Pill" (cricket)?
You have over stepped the mark this time and I invite you to meet me at 06:00 am tomorrow for 'handbags at dawn'. Be very afraid, I was trained at one of Margaret Thatcher's master classes and got a certificate of distinction.

Since you are challenging me, I'm the one to choose "the weapons". Be very afraid, since
I've been trained by the swiss armed forces, as a armourer (sharpshooting medal). <grin>

Really?
Actually, I have to cancel. I have a very important meeting in Wales tomorrow which I had forgotten. Perhaps another time. <cough>

Re: new complete FB version ?
Just out of interest I have just pointed to "F:\Downloads\WinFBE_Suite8\FreeBASIC-1.06.0-win32" in FBEdit and it worked fine.
No reason why it shouldn't. I now have FBEdit using FB 1.06 32 bit gcc 8.1.0.

Yes, that distinctive thud of willow on leather, in a green English field, on a warm Summer evening, with a glass of beer in hand, could be very catching.
My freebasic is the default 32 bit -gen gas version 1.05.0 with fbide.
I keep gcc 32 bit and 64 bit for testing.
But not version 1.06.

David, your car is 16 years old.dodicat wrote:My freebasic is the default 32 bit -gen gas version 1.05.0 with fbide.
So.
It only plays audio cassettes.
So.
It hasn't got DAB radio.
So.
You lock it with a key.
So.
You have to wind the windows down by hand.
So.
Never mind.
However, when it comes to language and compiler versions ..... funny old world.
Re: new complete FB version ?
@Dodicat:
Why would GCC be necessary?
Its an option and FB 32 is gen gas by default.

The 32 bit -gen gas (default) is my own favourite.sancho3 wrote:@Dodicat:

Perhaps androids and other systems need the gcc version, I don't know, I only have a desktop with Windows Intel.
But to run forum code I usually try gas and gcc and 64 bit, it seems only fair. (To the work done by past developers).
Deltarho{}
But fb version 1.05.0 IS the latest model.
My car is 14 years old.
It has electric windows, true, but the driver's side doesn't work any more, it has to be pulled up by hand when stationary.
It has a radio, but I took down the aerial 14 years ago, it was killing birds on passage.
Sometimes I get some reception, but it is due I think to some sort of Doppler shifting around corners.
But I still have the cassette player with some Roger Whittaker tapes, mercifully.
Anyway, good luck bluatigro with your latest version.
I always try your code.
My only gripe is you usually have it in separate files, and sometimes you miss out one file altogether.
Re: new complete FB version ?
@ dodicat
i use sepered file for easyer maintenace
if you you have sugestions on what i shoot put in 1
whit keeping that in mind

Re: new complete FB version ?
Don't apologise. Since the vast majority of our membership are 'old farts' I should imagine a high percentage of them are 'pill popping'. I had a Cardioversion three years ago which I found to be a shocking experience. <smile>. 85% of folk revert within 12 months but, for some reason, I have not. I figured that I could bin the pills but the hospital recommended that I take them for the rest of my life. The side effect is that I cannot get through the day without a nap or get 'legless' on rum. I don't mind having to take a nap but I miss the rum. <laugh>bluatigro wrote:i have to take medicins

Re: new complete FB version ?
I typically take at least 3 naps a day. No pills. No drugs or alcohol. I'm only 44.
