Use Intel® System Studio with a free commercial license backed by community forum support. This license allows usage for 90 days,and can be refreshed an unlimited number of times to use the latest version. You can convert at any time to a paid license, which provides Priority Support for one year.

Intel's compiler is the one that produces the fastest executables, see e.g. Willus.com's 2011 Win32/64 C Compiler Benchmarks or A Performance-Based Comparison of C/C++ Compilers. But build times are rather slow, and it's a huge download.

Question : what is happening "90 days later" whenever the "latest version" becomes no longer free ? Sounds like a free try.
