rdc, the book is looking great. It reads very well, either linearly, or scanning the well laid-out headings/sub-headings for a particular topic. Also, lots of meat in there; I've put many language manuals back on the shelf because the content has been little more than a bare-bones function reference. I think experienced programmers, and not just beginners, will want this reference on thier shelf. Keep at it! I've only ever written a couple of small less than 100 page, application manuals, and it can be grueling at times I know. The effort you have put in to constructing the content shows. Really suberb work there.

I have added more content to the book. I am finally through with the data types and will begin in with the fun stuff. Right now the book is 166 pages, so the 200 page milestone is right around the corner.

Updated links in first post.

I can't believe I haven't posted on this topic before. I thought I did, but upon further inspection it seems I was mistaken.

So if I had posted befor this is what I would have said:
I think this is a great idea. I love the way it is written and I can't wait for it to get finished. I gave a copy of it to my niece because she wanted to learn. She is doing well so far. Thank you for this invaulable resource.

We've already talked about this, but it couldn't hurt to say it again: great job. When you've got a full and final draft, please let me know and I'll do a critical read-through of it for you.

...and when it is finished, I would like to buy a copy, just to have a copy, if for nothing else. This will be a great book for FreeBASIC. Will it be possbe to purchase online, and have it shipped overseas?

Thanks aetherFox. I'll keep that in mind.

Garvan, I plan to make a print version available on Lulu for those who may want to get a copy. I am not sure if they ship overseas, but if not, I'll be happy to work something out with you.
