Hello to All¡

First of all sorry for my bad english but the madure spanish people have a delay in comparaison to other countries.

My first pc a Sinclair zx80. Amstrad CPC. I liked very much basic and I did may programs with that computers. Now I want to return to program and I have studied visual basic .net beacause the framework is comun for the rest of languages as C+ and the weakness of basic is less. As you imagine the OOP is new for me and my brain is structured con number lines an goto's. It very dificul for me to work with objects, class, etc but I was getting program littles aplicactions. Today I have found FreeBasic and I wonder because it remember the old times with my amstrad PC and the obsoletes comands in new versions. I liked very much and i am thinking to focus FBC more than VB2008.net but I have some questions that I'll thanks you the answere:
Windows XP sp3
Whats the benefits and contras of FBC to relation vb.net?
I have seen your codes in color characters. I supose you use a IDE...Whats the best for me? It's like the VB2008 that correct problems?

Thanky very much.
Topito.
