WebFBC - compile FB source online

User contributed sources that have become inactive, deprecated, or generally unusable. But ... we don't really want to throw them away either.

WebFBC - compile FB source online

Post by TJF »

I just found out that this information isn't at the forum yet:

ThePuppetMaster form the German forum set up a web-page where you can compile FB source online at
Just choose how to send the source (by copy/paste or uploading a file or archive). On the next page choose a compiler version. Currently these versions are available
  • Linux - 0.24.0 (08-19-2012)
  • Linux - 0.20.0 (08-10-2008)
  • Linux - 0.18.5 (04-17-2008)
  • Windows - 0.23.0 (08-14-2011)
  • Windows - 0.22.0 (05-06-2011)
  • Windows - 0.21.1 (08-11-2010)
  • Windows - 0.20.0 (08-10-2008)
  • Windows - daily git build (2012-05-23)
You'll receive the binary as a zip file (when I remember right).

It might be interesting to compile some source when you don't have any FB installation available (ie traveling with an Android device).

Thank you, ThePuppetMaster!

Thanks for the info, some questions:
  • How can I compile FB source there?
  • How do I get an executable from this site?

The CompileOnline.com site is running 64 bit CentOS (Red Hat) but does have 32 bit libraries available as a request of the BaCon addition. (Joe/Bigbass wanted both 64/32 bit downloads of his resulting code) The site author is a really nice guy and willing to work with folks wanting a particular language on the site. Send a request for FreeBASIC to be supported and point to where the files are located so he doesn't waste time trying to build FB from scratch.

The complete project and it''s results can be downloaded in a zip and run local.

The site is a great resource to play with languages you might be interested in but don't want to go through the install process just to see it how it works.
