dodicat, it's supposed to be a Linux type build environment with a shell to run scripts
I downloaded from here https://github.com/skeeto/w64devkit/rel ... ag/v1.17.0
specifically I downloaded https://github.com/skeeto/w64devkit/rel ... 1.17.0.zip
I didn't get the messages that you mention, double-clicking on w64devkit.exe launches the shell
but I have yet to have found a use for it
libjpeg
Re: libjpeg
Hi srvaldez
The file w64devkit.exe is only 20 kb, so it must only be a stub file for something else, I cannot see exactly what, so I'll give it a miss.
The readme speaks about (takes about half an hour), so that convinces me further to give it a miss.
The gcc is version 12.1, what is the same as I already have.
So all in all, er , ... I'll give it a wide berth.

Re: libjpeg
I don't understand, where are you downloading from?
this link is for a file almost 70 MB in size https://github.com/skeeto/w64devkit/rel ... 1.17.0.zip

Re: libjpeg
srvaldez.
That is the one I have.
What does w64devkit.exe do when it is clicked?

Re: libjpeg
it simply launches a shell that resembles the bash shell a little, think of w64devkit as a very lightweight cygwin, though I was unable to compile libjpeg with it and after that failure I doubt that I will use it
